In past we were building 'dumb-init' from source. Then in commit f8fd56056114af7e2c8b8185cd258c6fd3993c8c we moved to using binaries from Debian packages instead. With keeping compiler... Now Travis CI supports all architectures we care about. So dumb-init upstream built all binaries for us. Good bye compiler stuff. 115 megabytes saved. As CentOS 7 is Python 2 we need a way to remove plugins used in OpenStack components once they switch to be Python 3 only. 'remove_py3_only_plugins_for_py2' macro does exactly that. Since some time (around v0.22.0) skydive team has stopped publishing rpm packages in centos-opstools repo - instead they moved into producing docker images for consumption. Kolla provides log aggregation, but no solution to set retention periods for aggregated logs. It therefore accumulates log data indefinitely unless a user manually intervenes. This change adds Elasticsearch Curator which provides a mechanism for automating such retention periods [1]. [1] https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/client/curator/current/about.html The container contains cron to support running Curator periodically. Using the ovn-ctl script to start the OVN ovsdb-server is the better way. This script is used to start and stop all OVN systemd services. This script takes care of creating the database from the schema, updating the database from the schema when the schema version gets updated. The present scripts - start_nb_db_server.sh and start_sb_db_server.sh doesn't take care of schema updates. With this, we don't need extend_start.sh in ovn-nb-db-server/ovn-sb-db-server to create the database from the schema.
