2019-12-12Use APT pinning to set preferred version of RabbitMQMarcin Juszkiewicz3-21/+7
We want RabbitMQ 3.7.10-1 for Ubuntu. So set it in one place which is designed for such things instead of doing it everytime we want to install it. Change-Id: Ib2b2d4e392aaf77bcdec24f9f5551cdf15d32d91
2019-12-12Add Networking-MLNX to Neutron-Base packagesHamdy Khader3-0/+14
The package is required for infiniband deployment to be installed on containers: neutron-server, neutron-dhcp-agent and neutron-l3-agent. Change-Id: I017b65c2032648fa0ac7126d4a06cd98cb7c33a0
2019-12-11skydive: mark as unbuildable on !x86Marcin Juszkiewicz3-9/+8
Ie586b0f249e545877ab1dd156d08e1863cd479ba removed use of rpm packages so it is time to disable building for non-x86 platforms. Upstream provides own container images for several architectures. Change-Id: I4778db57dae0953f5c7116105466c2830592b514
2019-12-11Refactor Apache httpd setupMark Goddard26-276/+61
All Apache httpd setup has been moved to a new helper script, kolla_httpd_setup. This includes the existing clean of /run/httpd, /var/run/httpd, /tmp/httpd etc. Horizon has an additional bit of Apache config for Debian/binary, which has been kept in extend_start.sh for horizon. 2019-12-09Build images with healthcheck scripts for core servicesMichal Nasiadka10-0/+92
blueprint container-health-check Now docker supports healthcheck directive[0] in Dockerfile, which is helpful for checking container aliveness. Base for this patch were healthcheck scripts from tripleo[1]. [0] https://docs.docker.com/engine/reference/builder/#healthcheck [1] https://github.com/openstack/tripleo-common/tree/master/healthcheck Change-Id: Ifc32713cd4d6b45c74855c0ebf5bb65784701d44

These are no longer used by kolla ansible, and were not used by any other deployment tools. Change-Id: I214b0b7d94717aa9aeae88363d5721396e7b6684

2019-12-09Fix keystone bootstrap error message displayMark Goddard2-1/+11
In some situations, Keystone bootstrap can fail, and then unhelpfully fails displaying the error message output by the 'keystone-manage bootstrap' command. This appears to be due to unprintable control characters in the error message which prevent the output of the script from being valid JSON. This change fixes the issue by piping the output through 'cat -v', which replaces unprintable characters with control codes. Change-Id: I82444bc2272311023cc9e92c5a298d1c4c87483b Closes-Bug: #1855701
2019-12-09base: use upstream dumb-init on all architecturesMarcin Juszkiewicz2-24/+5
In past we were building 'dumb-init' from source. Then in commit f8fd56056114af7e2c8b8185cd258c6fd3993c8c we moved to using binaries from Debian packages instead. With keeping compiler... Now Travis CI supports all architectures we care about. So dumb-init upstream built all binaries for us. Good bye compiler stuff. 115 megabytes saved. 2019-12-06Revert "Introduce macro to remove Py3 only plugins on CentOS 7"Mark Goddard4-16/+2
This reverts the following commits: df987c9d3fca40e0a7529e48a3626dfdd58e2168 d866c63a32a494b8643b166c3b1e36e463a7502f 6b40b655f124d0a95f1b7d89ce04236606a02010 These are no longer necessary as we are using stable/train branch for source images until CentOS 8 / python 3 support is available and working. 2019-12-06Switch to stable/train for source images on CentOS/RHELMark Goddard1-111/+123
OpenStack projects are beginning to drop python 2 support on the master branch. CentOS 8 is not yet ready, so our best option to continue building and testing CentOS is to use the Train tarballs for source images. This change also introduces a new openstack_branch config option which can be used to set the branch used for source images. For CentOS/RHEL, the default is stable-train, for Debian/Ubuntu it it master. Change-Id: Ieab5e06a3c05951d97bb979ab735b4cef675cc0a

2019-12-05Introduce macro to remove Py3 only plugins on CentOS 7Marcin Juszkiewicz3-6/+12
As CentOS 7 is Python 2 we need a way to remove plugins used in OpenStack components once they switch to be Python 3 only. 'remove_py3_only_plugins_for_py2' macro does exactly that. This change also disables networking-bgpvpn for python 2. Change-Id: Ib90aabc485f1c831d3d41cc0f70052f8fffc3fe6 Related: blueprint drop-py2-support

2019-11-29Remove skydive rpm installationMichal Nasiadka3-17/+13
Since some time (around v0.22.0) skydive team has stopped publishing rpm packages in centos-opstools repo - instead they moved into producing docker images for consumption. This change removes usage of rpms for rpm distros and uses GitHub release binary as in deb distros. Change-Id: Ie586b0f249e545877ab1dd156d08e1863cd479ba

2019-11-28Add Elasticsearch Curator Docker imageDoug Szumski5-0/+52
Kolla provides log aggregation, but no solution to set retention periods for aggregated logs. It therefore accumulates log data indefinitely unless a user manually intervenes. This change adds Elasticsearch Curator which provides a mechanism for automating such retention periods [1]. [1] https://www.elastic.co/guide/en/elasticsearch/client/curator/current/about.html The container contains cron to support running Curator periodically.
